Oak Class

Welcome to Oak Class.

I am Mrs Collinson and I teach Year 1. Mrs Littler works as our teaching assistant some mornings and some afternoons. She also teaches the children on a Monday and Thursday afternoon when I have my PPA and Leadership and Management time.

We have a beautiful classroom with lots of space and natural light. It overlooks the EYFS outdoor area and we are also hoping to open our Oak outdoor terrace very soon.

To help the transition from Reception to Year 1, we have some specific areas in the classroom including a themed woodland reading area, a storytelling/small world area, a writing area and an interactive Maths area. 

Around the room we have lovely displays to help Oak class with their learning. This includes Phonics displays, a WOW board (Outstanding Oak), a Maths Working Wall and an English Learning Journey.
