Reading in Year 3

Reading is an essential part of our curriculum and is at the heart of everything we do. We strive to instil a love of reading in all of our pupils. The children are encouraged to read at home regularly and will bring home a book for then to read as well as a more challenging book that they have chosen to read for pleasure with an adult at home.

 

Over the year in class we will read a variety of novels and texts. Details of the class novels and text covered over the year in each year group can be found on our English page.

 

Currently Year 3 are reading 'A bear called Paddington' by Michael Bond.
