Our School Day

The School Day

School day begins at 8:55am. Pupils arriving after 9:00 am must report to the office before going to their class, where the office staff will add them to the registers and make sure we know what they are having for lunch. If a pupil arrives late for whatever reason we encourage them to apologise for their lateness for 2 reasons, 1 is to promote good manners and the second is so that the class teacher is aware of their arrival into class.

Morning break takes place at 10.15 - 10.30 a.m. KS1 also have an afternoon break around 2pm but this may vary according to plans for the day or the need to get children out in the fresh air earlier.

Lunchtime for Year EYFS and KS1 pupils is 11.50 pm to 12.50 pm.

Lunchtime for  KS2 pupils starts at 12:00 pm to 12:50 pm.

School finishes at 3:15 pm and the children are brought down to the back doors on the KS2 playground for KS1 and KS2 and to the EYFS classroom doors for The Nook, Little Acorns and Big Acorns.

Any child who is not collected from their pick up point will be taken to the front entrance to wait for parents. After a time parents will be contacted and may be charged if as the child would be placed into after school club until we can get hold of a parent/ carer.

School offers free 15 hours universal nursery education, for anyone with a code, who is in receipt of the free childcare entitlement, and also offers an additional 15 or full 30 hours extended childcare which can be paid for directly to school. This takes place between 8.55am - 3.15 pm and is for children between the ages of 2 and 3.
