Daily maths practice is very important. Children should know facts off by heart and be able to solve problems and reason about numbers. By the end of year 2, they should be able to recite the ten, five and two times tables and be able to count in threes. Please find below a sequence of work starting with Day 1 which is broadly in line with work in class that week. I have not called them Monday, Tuesday etc. as it may depend on which day you start the work. Along side this daily work, children should recall the above times tables. I feel it is better to concentrate on these key skills in order to foster a deeper understanding and better recall.
