Welcome back, I hope that you have all had a very enjoyable Easter break. The children have settled back to school really well and I am very pleased with their; continued positive, calm and mature, attitude to their learning and progress. I am very much looking forward to working with Beech class during Summer Term.
Our work this term will continue to link to the theme of ‘What a Wonderful World!’ This term our Topic work will mainly link to studies of The Shang Dynasty! Many thanks for the excellent reading themed homework projects completed and returned to school. Reading is very much a vital part of the children’s learning journeys. Reading helps to improve spelling, independent writing, imaginative work, learning of facts, general knowledge and more!
If the children find, or are lucky to have, any resources/information related to any of our subject areas, I would really appreciate it if they were able to bring them in to class to help to inspire the class’ learning even further.
Things we can look forward to this term!
We have such a busy term ahead! As well as preparing ourselves for an exciting move into Year 6, we have plenty of exciting opportunities to take part it. We will be meeting our new class Governor, Mr Brown, in May. We will also be looking forward to our trip to Wales and our residential trip to Robinwood towards the end of the year! Our KS2 Sport's afternoon will be taking place during Summer Term 1 and of course our KS2 show in Summer Term 2!
